PDensity – Field Density Testing Management SoftwarePDensity is more than just a field density data collection tool; it is a complete data management tool – it helps you manage project data, work orders, and field density testing information for field density QA/QC projects. Data management and work orders for your field density construction quality control projects from a central locationData management for field density projects has never been so easy. Your data management begins with consistent project information. With PDensity, this is done in the PC Configuration tool. You select details from pre-populated drop down lists such as client, project engineer, technician, coordinate system and datum description. You can add values to these lists any time. Entering the data in the Configuration tool helps provide consistent data – a key to data management. This process avoids repetitive data such as having one client in the database several times with different spellings each time.
Configure Proctor test data and project specifications for each projectOnce you have set up the general project information, you can enter field density compaction specifications for the project, as well as Proctor test results. The field density compaction specifications and Proctor tests results are unique to the project. You can sort Proctor test results and field density compaction requirements by project so you can not confuse field density compaction specifications and Proctor test results from different jobs. Work orders have only the assigned project data. Work orders are updated with each HotSync.Work orders get project data to those who need it. With Proctor test results and field density specifications for your project entered, you can now create a work order assigning your personnel to specific project(s). The work order sends only the data for assigned projects to a technician’s PDA. The work order includes all project information including existing Proctor test results and field density specifications. Each time you HotSync the PDA, your work order is updated, and any new Proctor test results or specifications are added to the technician’s PDA. When a technician is in a job on the PDA, they can only access the field density specifications and Proctor tests for that project. Your technician always has the most up-to-date and complete project information available – and is ready for field density testing. Data management includes electronic field data collection - record field density testing data electronically with PDensity PDA softwarePDensity helps your data management for big jobs or small jobsAs a field technician you can be working on one job for months taking many field density tests, or have to visit several sites in one day with a couple of field density tests per site. PDensity can help you organize and track your field density test results whether you have hundreds of field density tests from one project or a few field density tests from several projects. Field density testing with nuclear gauge, sand cone, balloon or drive cylinder methodsPDensity supports the field data testing with nuclear gauge (ASTM D2922-04), Sand Cone (ASTM D1556-00), Balloon (ASTM D2167-94) and Drive Cylinder (ASTM D2937-04) field density test methods. You simply enter your field data into PDensity and PDensity calculates whether the test passes or fails for you. You no longer have to calculate results – there are no longer any calculation errors. Your field density data and field density test result values are stored for you in PDensity. If a field density test fails, you can re-test locations until they pass, or perform field density tests in other areas and return later for a re-test. If a new Proctor test is performed in the field, or the lab calls you with new Proctor test results, you can add the results to your project in your PDA. Alternatively, if the laboratory adds the results and you have the enterprise system, you can wirelessly HotSync to receive the latest information. Each time you HotSync your PDA, you receive any new project information, and all of your latest field density tests are uploaded to the project database. You perform data management – data no longer manages you. Create your field density test reports with PDensity seconds after uploading your data.
PDensity – better data fasterPDensity increases your efficiency before, during and after a project in the field and in the office. It is the ultimate in data management for your field density projects. Your data is consistent and accurate. There is no room for calculation or typographical errors. Turnaround time for field density reports is decreased. No longer does the field density report have to wait in queues to be typed and then checked by someone else. You can have a draft field density report within minutes of your data being uploaded to a computer. |

"You never have to input anything in gINT. Just input your data on the PDA and have gINT generate your logs. Geotechnical engineers are slow to adopt technology, but PLog is long overdue." Ron Groff |
