PConcrete is more than a field concrete testing data collection tool; it is a complete data management system. Data management for concrete testing projects has never been so easy. Your data management begins with having consistent information. With PConcrete, this is accomplished in the PC Configuration tool. At any time, you can add values to lookup lists such as client, technician, cement type, material type and specimen type. These lookup lists help ensure standardization – a key to effective data management. This process avoids having repetitive data such as one client in the database several times with different spellings each time.
Configure project information and mix specifications for each project
Once you have setup the lookup lists, you can add project information such as name, number, address, etc and then enter mix specifications for the project. The mix specification parameters are unique to each project. You can view mix specification requirements for each project so you do not confuse mix specifications from different jobs.
Dispatch work orders to your technicians. Work orders are updated with each HotSync.
You can create work orders assigning your personnel to specific project(s). Assigning a work order transfers only the relevant data for the assigned project(s) to a technician’s PDA. This includes all project information, mix specifications, and type of specimens for the break tests. Each time you HotSync your PDA, it is updated automatically with all relevant information. When a technician is entering data on the PDA, they can only access the mix specifications for that project. This ensures your technician always has the most up-to-date and complete project information available – and is ready for concrete QA/QC field testing.

Record Unit Weight, Air Content, Temperature, Slump, and other concrete placement details with PConcrete
You simply record your unit weight, measured temperature, air content and slump for all sets you cast, per ASTM C31 (Making and Curing Specimens), ASTM C 138 (Density, Yield and Air Content), ASTM C143 (Slump), ASTM C172 (Sampling), ASTM C172 (Air Content by the Volumetric Method), ASTM C231 (Air Content by the Pressure Method) and Temperature (ASTM C1064). If you evaluate the air content using the Volumetric Method, you simply enter the appropriate field measurements and PConcrete calculates the air content for you per ASTM C231.
Instead of having to input the concrete test results manually on a computer, you simply HotSync the PDA to a PC with PConcrete installed on it. Your field test concrete QA/QC data is transferred to the PC in seconds.

Automate break scheduling for compressive strength testing with PConcrete for all your concrete QA/QC jobs
As technicians bring concrete cylinders in from the field, you can log cylinders in to the PConcrete PC Application. Once a specimen is entered in the system, PConcrete tracks the break date for you. You can view all specimens scheduled for compressive strength testing, all specimens which have been broken or specimens to break that day. With PConcrete you can view your work load for the day by viewing specimens to break that day and gauge your future workload by viewing specimens yet to be tested.
As you test the compressive strength of your specimens, you enter the test result in the PConcrete PC Application.
